Tweens are demonstrating many of the different behaviors we usually see in the adolescence years.
During the past year my oldest morphed into a nine year old going on twenty. I remember the posters on the walls with the Little Mermaid and I also remember the dolls in the closet and the Barbie House which is still there, but just full of dust.
Now, I see her on the computer, asking me for my phone, because the cell phone is one thing that she has yet to accomplish from me, LOL.
Marketers have developed this social “tween” word for kids between the ages of nine & twelve and they have caputured this meaning of the word where now you’re just a baby if you’re not a “tween.” Whatever happened to the “teen” years?
Perhaps the most striking evidence comes from market researchers. All I know is that my kid is growing too fast.
